Fresh details continue to emerge about the new processor from mobile chipset manufacturer Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.
Rumors regarding the successor to the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, speculated to be called Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, are beginning to circulate. This next-gen chipset by Qualcomm is believed to make its debut in late 2024. According to renowned leaker Digital Chat Station, the chipset will be crafted using TSMC's innovative 3nm process node, setting the stage for an exciting new chapter in SoC production.
The report suggests the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will be equipped with two Phoenix cores and six Phoenix M cores. The Phoenix cores are the latest ARM-based CPU cores by Nuvia. Having licensed its technology to Qualcomm, it's possible the cores may receive a new moniker under Qualcomm's brand.

As for Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, it’s understood to feature the 4nm process and is expected to provide a considerable improvement in performance without compromising efficiency. The future Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is also projected to make a significant leap in terms of performance.
