Apple may sell the straps of Vision Pro separately
Having introduced its first mixed reality glasses, Vision Pro, just a short while ago, Apple has not yet given a clear statement about the sales strategy for this device.
Earlier this month, at the much-anticipated World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC), Apple unveiled its innovative mixed-reality headset - Apple Vision Pro. This significant product launch marks Apple's momentous entry into the realm of cutting-edge technology. As with any Apple release, the device has generated considerable chatter in both tech circles and among the public.
The discussions are not solely limited to the technology powering the device, but also extend to its accompanying accessories. A prominent feature of the Apple Vision Pro is its 3D knitted fabric headband. The stretchable headband, designed to wrap around the user's head, ensures a snug and comfortable fit. Interestingly, Apple has remained tight-lipped about another strap accompanying the device.

An overhead strap for Apple Vision Pro briefly came into view during a promotional snippet at the WWDC keynote. This strap is hypothesized to counterbalance the headset's weight and keep it securely in place during user movement. Details about this accessory have remained conspicuously absent from Apple's disclosures.
While Apple, the technological powerhouse headquartered in Cupertino, hasn't yet unveiled the Apple Vision Pro's weight, it is likely to be substantial. This is particularly due to Apple's decision to relocate the battery to an external pack, potentially adding to the overall weight. The presence of an overhead strap could significantly aid in distributing the device's weight, resulting in an enhanced user experience.
The company's silence on the additional strap and its absence from the marketing materials suggests it may be sold as an optional accessory, rather than being included in the standard retail packaging. However, confirmation from Apple is needed to ascertain this possibility, meaning we have to bide our time until an official announcement.
