Acer Predator XB283K V3: 4K resolution and 150Hz refresh rate in the USA
Acer’s Predator XB283K V3 monitor, featuring 4K resolution and a 150Hz refresh rate, is now meeting tech enthusiasts in the United States.
This month, Acer expanded its gaming monitor portfolio with two notable additions. In China, the company introduced the Acer Predator X45, a curved OLED monitor known for its 240Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, for Western markets, Acer launched the Predator XB283K V3, a flat-screen monitor that combines UHD resolution with a high refresh rate, catering to a diverse range of gamers and professionals.
The Acer Predator XB283K V3 is a 28-inch IPS-type panel monitor that offers a 3840 x 2160 4K resolution. Its features include a 1ms G2G response time, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and a brightness of 400 cd/m2. The monitor stands out with its 10-bit color depth and 90% DCI-P3 color space coverage, ensuring high-quality visuals. It supports a 150Hz refresh rate and Adaptive-sync for Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), making it compatible with both AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-sync technologies.

In terms of design, the Predator XB283K V3 offers full ergonomic adjustments for user comfort. Its connectivity options include a DisplayPort 1.4 (with DSC), two HDMI 2.1 ports, and a headphone jack. Additionally, it comes equipped with integrated 2x 2W speakers, enhancing the audio experience.
Regarding pricing and availability, the Predator XB283K V3 is priced at US$499.99, with a current discount on Amazon reducing it to $439.99. This price reduction seems to be a permanent change rather than a temporary promotion.
In related developments, Acer has also released the VG272K V3 gaming monitor in China. This monitor features a 4K, 160Hz screen and is priced at 2,188 yuan (approximately $305). It is expected to be available in the global market soon.
