Between October and December of 2022, the Japanese tech giant sold approximately 7.1 million PS5 units. When compared to the 3.9 million units that were sold in 2021, this represented a substantial increase of 82% year over year. The company was also able to surpass 32 million PlayStation 5 sales since the launch of the current generation gaming console thanks to this high figure.
The PlayStation 5 console could be shipped 37 million times by the end of the company's fiscal year if another 5.2 million units are shipped. This may indicate a significant increase in sales over the previous year.
