Company's recent changes were not liked by the fans so Riot has decided to answer for it. If an agreement is not reached, the publisher has now threatened to cancel the League Championship Series (LCS) summer season, which would prevent North American teams from qualifying for the LoL World Championship.
In a blog post Riot's global head of LoL esports, Naz Aletaha, wrote, "Hopefully, this two-week window will give us time for productive dialogue between the LSCPA, teams, and the league and then resume LCS competition this summer. We are doing our best to prevent the delay from having a negative impact on LCS employees, contractors, and other LCS supporters."
