Redfall, the highly anticipated vampire-slaying game developed by Arkane Austin, has launched on PC with a disappointing reception on Steam today. The game, which was announced during the Xbox E3 2021 showcase, has received "mostly negative" reviews on the popular gaming platform

Currently, Redfall has received mostly negative reviews on Steam, with only 325 out of 1,189 reviews being positive. The game has been criticized for its performance issues, lackluster AI, empty open world, and awkward multiplayer system.

Some players have also complained about the enemies being hilariously dumb and the way they spawn. Despite playing on a high-end PC setup, some reviewers experienced framerate stuttering.

Some users on the Steam general discussion page and other reviewers have reported that Redfall crashes frequently on PC, with one user stating that they encountered three consecutive crashes upon launching the game.

According to Metacritic, Redfall has received a low score of 59, making it Arkane's lowest-rated game. If you're interested in playing the game, it might be best to wait for a discount, or you could consider getting it through Game Pass.
