PS5 Slim & Spider-Man 2 bundle US launch date leaked

Sony continues to innovate with its gaming consoles. Following its established tradition, Sony recently unveiled a more compact version of its original PS5. Though officially labeled as the PS5 by Sony, enthusiasts and gamers affectionately refer to it as the “PS5 Slim.”

The price of this revamped console has been publicly shared, yet its release date has been kept under wraps. Nevertheless, recent insights from Deallabs reveal the PS5 Slim's anticipated availability. The console is projected to become available in the United States on November 10. Intriguingly, there will be an early release of the Spider-Man 2 bundle of the PS5 Slim on November 8.

The Spider-Man 2 bundle is anticipated to retail for $599.99. In contrast, the PS5 boasting an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive will be priced at $499.99, and the digital-only variant will be offered at $449.99. For European customers, the standard model is expected to be priced at 549.99 EUR, and the digital-only variant will have a price tag of 449.99 EUR.

Discussing the PS5 Slim's design, Sony has highlighted its 30% reduction in size and weight. This new iteration has a sleek combination of a glossy top finish coupled with a matte bottom. Despite these design modifications, its performance remains consistent with the original PS5. A notable design enhancement is the addition of a removable and replaceable disc drive bump on the side. Unlike the original PS5, which featured a singular USB-C and USB-A port at the front, the PS5 Slim proudly hosts two USB-C ports. Sony also includes a horizontal stand with this new model, but for those preferring a vertical orientation, a stand is available for purchase separately at $29.99 and is compatible with all PS5 variants.
