Metal Gear Solid 3 remake release date rumored to be postponed
There are new rumors that the release date of the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake has been delayed. Here are all the details.
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater was released on November 17, 2004, for the PlayStation 2 console. The game was a critical and commercial success and received widespread acclaim for its story, gameplay mechanics, and graphics.
The game was also notable for its Cold War setting and for being a prequel to the original Metal Gear Solid game, which further expanded the series' lore. Now the players are waiting for the PC remake of the game. A renowned insider in the game industry has tipped the postponed date for the game.
Metal Gear Solid 3 remake release delayed until 2024, Andry Robinson claims
Andry Robinson has claimed that Metal Gear Solid 3 will not be getting a remake until 2024. There have been rumors for some time now that Konami was planning to remake the third game in the Metal Gear Solid series, which is considered by many to be the best in the franchise, and it was expected to be announced at this year's E3. However, due to the uncertainty surrounding E3, the same insider now claims that the remake won't be released until 2024.
The insider is confident that Konami will manage despite the delay and predicts that some sort of event will eventually take place. This event could be either a physical gathering or a digital showcase, similar to the one held for Silent Hill in October 2022.
Konami reportedly working on other Metal Gear Solid re-releases as well
Robinson, through his tweet, has claimed that Konami is still discussing the possibility of re-releasing Metal Gear Solid titles. These announcements were initially scheduled to align with the marketing plan for E3 2023.
MGS3 remake is now a 2024 title and there's still talk of MGS re-releases of some kind. E3 window was their marketing plan, last I heard. https://t.co/Euaw3iEdrN
