The latest game in the series, Final Fantasy XV, was released in 2016. As gamers have been waiting for exactly six years, a new leak might have revealed the release date of the Final Fantasy XVI, the successor of the last game.
Final Fantasy XVI might be released in June, 2023
A popular tipster shared a cryptic tweet that seems to be associated with the latest entry in the series by Square Enix. As the "crystal" in the tweet refers to Final Fantasy XVI, "twenty two grains of sand" and "six nations divided" could be linked to to the game's release date, which would be June 22, 2023.

Even though The Snitch's leaks have proven to be extremely trustworthy, this rumored release date for Final Fantasy XVI needs to be taken with a grain of salt. As Naoki Yoshida himself revealed last month, the release date for the newest game in the series will be officially announced before the end of the month, so thankfully, we will not have to wait long to find out when it comes out.
