Final Fantasy XVI arrives to PlayStation 5
Final Fantasy being one of the most loved games ever will come to PS5 soon, and now we have a clear date.
The release date for the next Final Fantasy game is more concrete. Final Fantasy XVI will be available for PlayStation 5 on June 22, 2023, according to Square Enix. The company warns that the action role-playing game won't be available on other platforms until December 31st, so you'll need to wait.

The news is accompanied by a new trailer that not only provides brief gameplay glimpses but also highlights the story and the vengeance theme that runs throughout. The Eikons, massive monsters, are being awakened by humans (the Dominant), but there will undoubtedly be serious repercussions.The game's development has been long and winding, and it is the first core Final Fantasy title since 2016's XV. It was first shown off in September 2020, but Square Enix said in December 2021 that the pandemic had delayed it by half a year. At that point, it was clear that it wasn't even close to being ready. It is now abundantly clear that the developers were not joking when they stated that polishing the game presented them with a "mountain of challenges."
