Elden Ring fans rejoice: 'Shadow of the Erdtree' DLC confirmed to be in development
Good news for fans of Elden Ring, as the development of the highly anticipated DLC, 'Shadow of the Erdtree', has been confirmed.
The developer FromSoftware and publisher Bandai Namco have announced the title of the highly anticipated story expansion for Elden Ring, which was previously unnamed. The expansion will now be known as Shadow of the Erdtree.
FromSoftware has shared details about the upcoming Elden Ring expansion through their official Twitter account, along with a single piece of concept art. The artwork depicts a pale figure dressed in white robes with long blonde hair riding a mount through a desolate and eerie landscape. In the background, there is a dying Erdtree silhouetted against a moody sky.
The announcement of the Elden Ring expansion, Shadows of the Erdtree, was limited in details and did not provide a release date. The official Japanese website for the game has confirmed that the expansion will be available on all versions of the original game, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC via Steam, Xbox Series X and Xbox One.
