Westworld, which is one of the most popular TV series, will unfortunately say goodbye to its fans. The hit show's fourth season has been canceled, fans won't be able to get a new season. The sci-fi series has been cancelled by HBO after four seasons. As recently as October, Nolan and Joy attempted to negotiate a final season, but their discussions clearly failed. HBO stated in a statement: "Over the beyond four seasons, Lisa and [Jonathan] have taken watchers on a brain bowing odyssey, increasing current standards at each step.They, their extremely talented cast, producers, and crew, as well as all of our partners at Kilter Films, Bad Robot, and Warner Bros. Television, have our deepest gratitude.It has been an honor to travel with them."

With 54 Emmy nominations and even a win for Thandiwe Newton for Outstanding Supporting Actress, Westworld was once one of HBO's most successful projects. However, it never quite recovered from its ratings and viewership drops over time. The first season of the show was watched by approximately 12 million people across all platforms, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Later with other seasons only 4 million viewers remaining to watch the most recent episodes. That probably won't be enough for HBO to get the show renewed. The network apparently spent $160 million for eight episodes of the fourth season, which is more than it spent on House of Dragons.
