New accounts are prevented from joining Twitter's $8 Blue subscription
Twitter has announced their new Twitter's $8 Blue subscription but it looks like new accounts can not join. Here all the details.
In order to prevent new accounts from receiving a blue checkmark, Twitter has modified the guidelines for its $8 Blue subscription service. Ever since Elon Musk took over Twitter many changes have started to happen, including making the Blue check mark a paid one. Recent reports on the other hand show that new accounts can not join this new feature.

The company made a change to the service's help page yesterday evening to say that accounts created after November 9, 2022 "will be unable to subscribe to Twitter Blue at this time." The site likewise added that Twitter Blue is just accessible on iOS for clients in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the UK, with plans to grow from now on.
Although Twitter did not specify why it is restricting new accounts, the move was made in response to an increase in impersonators who paid for the service.Yesterday marked the launch of the new Twitter Blue, which made it possible for users to purchase its perks, such as instant verification, and earn the previously elusive blue checkmark. People quickly realized that they could pretend to be someone else on the internet and that the checkmark could help them fool users who weren't expecting them.
While Twitter's blue checkmarks are currently available for purchase, the company also has a smaller, gray checkmark for public figures. Yesterday, it began to distribute these "official" checkmarks, but it quickly removed them and will distribute them first to "government and commercial entities."
