Netflix's ad-supported plan does not function on Apple TV devices!
Netflix is about to introduce its ad-supported plan soon but it looks like there is a problem going on with Apple TV devices. Here all the details.
After a long time finally comes Netflix's ad-supported plan. The ad-supported option, which is a cheaper package, is unfortunately currently facing some problems. The most prominent among these problems is that the program does not work on Apple TV. If you use Apple TV and were thinking about switching to Netflix's new ad-supported plan, you might want to hold off for the time being.

The "Basic with ads" option of the service, which is more affordable, is currently unavailable on Apple TV devices, including the brand-new Apple TV 4K. Netflix informed Variety that "Basic with ads plan support on tvOS is not available at launch but coming soon." 9to5Mac discovered that a Netflix support page states that only subscribers to the Basic, Standard, or Premium options will be able to watch Netflix on Apple TV.I f that doesn't work, you'll have to use a different device to access Netflix.
Although Netflix has not yet provided an explanation for why the Basic plan with ads does not function on Apple TV, this appears to be a small problem. Just like Netflix, Disney+ will also offer ad-supporter plan as well.
