Netflix to Introduce Targeted Ads! Whole experience will change
Netflix has been doing some changes on its platform and the new update is targeted ads. Here are all the details.
Netflix has lost some money last year because of password sharing and all. Therefore the company has rolled up their sleeves to change the situation. First of all now password sharing is restricted, as a second move ads are included to the platform. The platform is known as being add-free but some subscribers will see some changes.
Netflix to introduce targeted adds
The streaming giant has been in talks with prominent advertising executives, according to FT.com reports, to look into new ways to deliver targeted advertisements. How ads will work is different from other platforms. For example viewers will not see the same ads over and over like other platforms. Ads will be decided based on what you are watching. If you are someone who watches Stranger Things for example, you will not see same ads as who watches The House.
The genre will set what adds people will see. Netflix has been trying to get what they lost recently. The company has been doing some changes on the platform and it looks like this situation will continue for a little more while. When and at what regions these ads will start is unknown for now.
