Netflix has been announcing new plans for their users since the prices are going up so much. They have announced a plan with ads and now they announced they will cancel some plans. The streaming giant has cancelled its $10 basic level plan in the US and the UK.
Netflix cancels a plan in some regions
The Basic plan will no longer be available to new and returning members in the United States and the United Kingdom, according to an update to the company's Plans and Pricing page. Recently there has been a huge competition between streaming giants such as Netflix and Amazon Prime. With Disney+ joining the club the competition has become fierce. Netflix lost some money because of password sharing as well, and things needed to change.
Until they cancel or change their subscription, those who are already on the plan can keep their membership as is for $10 per month. The streaming giant at first hacked out the plan in Canada, and then it started to spread. The streaming giant has been focusing on Asian shows since Squid Game has brought them huge success.
