Hollywood strike hit Marvel: Thunderbolts is delayed
Recently there was a strike within Hollywood writers and it looks like it affects has been lingering.
Hollywood strike has shaken the industry a bit. Many talk shows and movies had to be delayed and now we have one more added to the list. Marvel's Thunderbolts will be on hold because of current problems. The continuous strike has made Studios postpone some shows. The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Marvel has decided to delay filming for Thunderbolts.
Hollywood strike still continues to affect some shows
After the strike, which also caused Marvel to stop filming the television series Wonder Man, production is expected to begin. The news was first reported by Deadline. The most recent Thunderbolts writer was Beef creator Lee Sung Jin, who was collaborating with Black Widow writer Eric Pearson on an earlier draft. The project is being directed by Jake Schreier.
Thunderbolts is currently scheduled to be released as part of Phase Five of the MCU in July 2024. In the movie Sebastian Stan portrays Bucky Barnes, the Winter Soldier; Hannah John-Kamen portrays Ava Starr, the Ghost; Wyatt Russell portrays John Walker, the US Agent; Julia Louis-Dreyfus portrays Valentina Allegra de Fontaine; Florence Pugh portrays Yelena Belova, the Black Widow; David Harbour portrays Alexei Shostakov, the Red Guardian; Olga Kurylenko portrays Antonia Dreykov, the Taskmaster; and Harrison Ayo Edebiri and Steven Yeun have also been cast in roles that have not been made public.
