Neil Druckmann of Naughty Dog and Craig Mazin of Chernobyl will write and executive produce the show, which is expected to largely follow the original game's plot. The developer's creative input and critically acclaimed talent behind the camera will be present in The Last of Us, in contrast to many productions based on games. It just depends on how well that combination works in real life, especially for newcomers who aren't emotionally invested in the story.
