Return of the Jedi is not the first time Disney has re-released a classic Star Wars movie. In order to prepare for Andor's Disney+ premiere, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story made a brief return to theaters last year. The Empire Strikes Back could also be seen in theaters in 2020 during Covid-19 lockdowns. In the near future, there will be three new Star Wars movies, one of which will bring Daisy Ridley back as Rey.
