Bad news for Stranger Things fans: Season 5 Delayed
Stranger Things is Netflix's one of the most liked shows. Due to writers strike new season will be delayed.
Hollywood writers go on a strike. Due to this strike Stranger Things will also be delayed. The show will be postponed because of the Essayist's Organization of America strike. Stranger Things season 5 was supposed to start not long from now, however the obstacles do not seem to end soon.
Stranger Things Season 5 delayed
Duffers here. Writing does not stop when filming begins. While we’re excited to start production with our amazing cast and crew, it is not possible during this strike. We hope a fair deal is reached soon so we can all get back to work. Until then -- over and out. #wgastrong

It is understandable that the writer's strike has led to the cancellation or delay of a number of shows. These shows include every late-night talk show, Abbott Elementary season 3, Evil season 4, and Big Mouth season 8, which is also available on Netflix. The effects have even been felt in the film industry, as the long-delayed Blade reboot set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the similarly long-awaited Community: The Film.
The Duffer Brothers announced on the official Stranger Writers Twitter account just a few days after the show started that season 5 of Stranger Things would be delayed due to the WGA writer's strike. The creators stated that it is "not possible during this strike" for them to come to an agreement so that they can resume production.
