Worldwide PC shipments are suffering: Major economic problems
The world has suffered a lot after coronavirus pandemic. Worldwide PC shipments also collapsed.
Months of turmoil in the PC sector have only gotten worse. The global economic crisis and shortage problems have affected everything. Every sector is affected and PC shipments is not a exception. Worldwide computer shipments are predicted to have decreased between 29 and 33 percent year over year in the first quarter of 2023, according to estimates from Canalys and IDC. Apple suffered the most from a decrease of more than 40 percent. Dell, Lenovo, and ASUS all experienced losses of almost 30%.
PC Shipments have suffered from shortage as well
After coronavirus the world has been a hard place. Economic crisis hit, shortage problems occured and many sectors have been affected. The reason is global problems mainly. Customers are hesitant to purchase PCs in a volatile environment where inflation is out of control and the increase in remote work during the epidemic is still in progress. Either they already own sufficient devices or they are unable to afford additional ones. The problem is still growing. As economy gets worse people struggle to define what they can do to better the situation.
