PC shipments have fallen severely in the third quarter.

According to the report, PC shipments in the market decreased significantly in the third quarter by 12.1% in comparison to growth year over year. In addition, the report reveals that the desktop market has seen a slight increase in shipments of 1% while the laptop market has seen a decline of around 12%.Among the leading manufacturers were Dell, HP, Apple, Lenovo, and Acer.

Only Apple and Acer have seen some growth in shipment, which is surprising. The market share of the remaining brands on the list has all decreased significantly. The primary factors that contributed to the significant drop in laptop shipment volume were less extravagant business expenditures and lower consumer and educational demand. Even though the product's two biggest customers are the education and consumer markets, their demand in the third quarter was actually insufficient.

The prospects for the fourth quarter are not any better, despite the fact that the third quarter was extremely challenging for PC suppliers.Although Canalys anticipates that the market will continue to decline generally, the American holiday season should slightly boost sales.Due to rising costs, consumers are cutting back on their technology purchases. The manufacturers operating in the US markets appear to be a little disappointed by the claims.
