Meet with Intel Core i9-13900KS, the first CPU working on 6GHz and 320W
Intel Core i9-13900KS is the world's first CPU that operates on 6GHz without overclock.
As the production processes enhanced, the base clocks in the processors began to increase. As the Intel increases these clocks, the journey to the 6GHz level begins thanks to Intel Core i9-13900KS.
Intel Core i9-13900KS launched, world's the first 6GHz CPU
The Intel Core i9-13900KS is the world's first stock 6GHz CPU. Thanks to Extreme Power Delivery profile, it can work on 6GHz without overclocking. The processor, which has a base power of 150W, has a maximum speed limit of 253W. At the highest level, it reaches 320W.
In the tests, the level of 6GHz was spotted at two performance cores and it was observed for a short time while running the 7-Zip application. However, let us remind you that all performance cores can go up to 6GHz. It is stated that the processor can be overclocked to higher speeds with professional cooling solutions. The Intel Core i9-13900KS processor will be sold for $699.
“Extreme gamers and enthusiasts can now push their everyday performance further than ever before with the first desktop processor in the PC industry to provide 6.0 GHz speeds at stock,” Marcus Kennedy, Intel Client Computing Group manager stated.
The Intel Core i9-13900KS will become available on January 12, 2023, and it will be sold as a boxed processor at retailers all over the world as well as integrated into systems purchased from Intel's channel and OEM partners.
