An Indian student recently had a perplexing and distressing experience while attempting to purchase gadgets online. The narrative that unfolded from this unusual incident is as follows.

Receiving incorrect items in online orders is not an unfamiliar occurrence. Instances of individuals expecting smartphones and receiving soap bars have been reported. In this particular case, a student made a purchase on Flipkart for an M1-powered MacBook, a transaction totaling 76,000 INR. The anticipated delivery date was August 13, but due to evasive communication from the delivery personnel, the package's arrival was postponed until August 15. The delay was so protracted that the student opted to personally collect the order from Flipkart's distribution hub.

Upon reaching the hub, the delivery staff insisted on obtaining the OTP (One-Time Password) before handing over the package. To the student's astonishment, the parcel, registered under his name, contained solely a boAt speaker valued at 3,000 INR. The student had gathered evidence during the delivery process, even recording the delivery person's admission of the erroneous delivery.

Regrettably, the substantial evidence presented did not yield the desired outcome, as Flipkart's customer support proved uncooperative. Refund requests were denied, citing certain products falling under the umbrella of the platform's 'No Returns' policy, including Apple products. At present, Flipkart has yet to initiate a refund resolution, potentially prompting the student to escalate the matter to legal channels.
