Compared to mini-LED, laptops that use OLEDs have the advantage of being thinner and lighter and offering more diverse form factor design options, like folding, so it has caused Apple to plan to ship the OLED MacBook by the end of 2024 at the earliest.
According to Kuo, OLED will offer a few advantages over the mini-LED that Apple currently employs in the iPad Pro 12 and MacBook Pro 14 and 16. It will make it possible to make devices that are lighter and thinner and have more different shapes. Additionally, OLED permits devices to fold. Although Kuo does not specify which MacBook will be the first to incorporate OLED, industry insider Ross Young has predicted that Apple will release an OLED MacBook Air with a 13-inch screen by 2024.
Apple's another plan for 2025 is to use their own wireless chips. According to another tipster who is familiar with the situation, Apple is considering combining the cellular chip with the wireless chip for the launch of its first in-house wireless chip with iPhones in 2025.
