Tesla reaches record breaking EV deliveries for 2022
Tesla managed to sell 1.31 million electric vehicles in 2022. The company broke a record by selling more than 400,000 EVs in the last quarter.
Elon Musk's Tesla has entered new year with record breaking delivery figures. Despite the Twitter crisis, Musk has managed to sell 1.31 million electric vehicles in 2022. Tesla also reported a record breaking more than 400,000 deliveries of EVs in the final quarter of 2022.
Tesla stated on its website that it delivered 405,278 of electric vehicles to customers worldwide in the last quarter of 2022, an increase of 47% from the previous year. However, according to analyst estimates, that was less than the 418,000 units that were anticipated. In total, 1.31 million units were delivered for the 2022.
The delivery figures released in the last quarter represent a 40 percent increase in deliveries compared to last year. In the fourth quarter, Tesla delivered 388,131 unit of Model 3 and Model Y, while 17,147 units of the higher-end Model S and Model X were delivered.
The company grappled with the COVID-19 measures in China in the last quarter of the year, while also implementing price cuts and promotions to resist economic recession. On the other hand, Tesla stocks have dropped more than 45% in the six months.
It was reported that the Tesla's Florida office warned its employees not to complain to senior managers about their pay or other employment conditions.
