Samsung Electronics has taken a significant step forward in automotive technology by commencing mass production of its cutting-edge Universal Flash Storage (UFS) 3.1 memory solution tailored specifically for in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems. With a focus on optimizing energy efficiency, this latest innovation from Samsung enables car manufacturers to enhance the overall mobility experience for consumers.

Samsung's UFS 3.1 storage chip lineup, available in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB variants, caters to diverse customer needs while delivering improved battery life management, making it ideal for future automotive applications like electric and autonomous vehicles.

The 256GB model stands out with a remarkable 33% reduction in energy consumption compared to its predecessor, offering impressive sequential write speeds of 700MB/s and sequential read speeds of 2,000MB/s.

Additionally, meeting the stringent AEC-Q100 Grade2 standard ensures stable performance across a wide temperature range from -40°C to 105°C.

Samsung aims to supply its UFS 3.1 products to global automakers and parts manufacturers before the end of this year.
