A name focused on cost-performance in the car world, Geely officially introduced its new PHEV model.
The Chinese automotive market recently witnessed the unveiling of the Geely Galaxy L6 PHEV sedan. As the latest addition to the Geely electric lineup, this plug-in hybrid car boasts an impressive range of 1,370km and is available in five distinctive models. Potential buyers can anticipate a price bracket that spans from $15,900 to $20,600.
Following the success of the Galaxy L7 SUV, the Galaxy L6 emerges as the second model in the esteemed Galaxy series. Car enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice with five exterior color alternatives. The car's aesthetic takes inspiration from the Galaxy Light design, showcasing split headlights, a sophisticated closed front face, and through-type taillights. Built on the robust e-CMA architecture, the vehicle boasts a high-strength steel chassis. Depending on the model and preference, consumers can opt for 16-inch or 17-inch wheels. Designed meticulously, the Galaxy L6 has a wheelbase spanning 2752mm and comfortably seats five passengers.

The interior of the car resonates with luxury. The seats, a harmonious blend of fabric and faux leather, are touted by Geely as "marshmallow seats", complemented by a 15mm cushion for enhanced comfort. The car's backrest is 20mm thick, adding to the luxurious seating experience. Modernity meets functionality with the 10.25-inch LCD instrument cluster and a sizable 13.2-inch vertical central control screen. The design is rounded off with a two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel.
In terms of technological prowess, the Galaxy L6 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 SoC and runs on the Galaxy N OS. It seamlessly integrates AI voice recognition and interaction capabilities. Advanced driving assistance of level 2 is a hallmark of the top models. Equipped with the Geely NordThor Hybrid 8848 system, the car comes with a 1.5T engine paired with a front electric motor and a 3-speed system. This setup allows the car to deliver a remarkable power of 120kW and torque of 255Nm. Its electric motor further impresses with a 107kW output and 338Nm torque. Acceleration enthusiasts will be pleased to know that the Galaxy L6 can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 6.5 seconds.
Geely offers two battery options for the Galaxy L6, boasting cruising ranges of 60km and 125km. The comprehensive cruising ranges for these configurations stand at 1,320km and 1,370km respectively. Charging the battery is efficient and quick; a mere 30 minutes of DC fast charging can power the battery from 30% to 80%. Since its debut at the Chengdu Auto Show last month, the car has amassed a whopping 20,000 pre-orders, signifying its anticipated success in the market.
