Elon Musk's Tesla Cybertruck remains an extremely interesting subject for the Tesla right now. The car, whose entry into the production line has been constantly delayed, is now expected to start leaving the factories early next year and to be delivered to its owners in the same year. On the other hand, new information shows that the demand for Tesla Cybertruck is extremely strong.
Tesla Cybertruck pre-orders reaches to 1.5 million
Having more than 250,000 reservations in just one week after its introduction in 2019, Tesla Cybertruck's demand seems to have never decreased in the past period. According to new reports from Electrek, total Tesla Cybertruck pre-orders in 2022 have exceeded 1.5 million units.
It is unlikely that all of these pre-orders would be actual sales, but that does not change the fact that demand is at an unprecedented level for the Tesla Cybertruck. Previous reports revealed that Cybertruck will enter production at Gigafactory Texas in Q2 2023.
On the other hand, it is unclear whether the Tesla Cybertruck will comply with the same features announced in 2019. To recall, while the first introduced model had a door handle, the revised model did not include a door handle.
However, there is no clear information on this subject for time being. Likewise, it was announced that the price tag of Cybertruck would be at $40,000. Considering the surging inflation today, this price tag does not seem likely to come true.
