BYD, positioned as the top-selling brand in the electric car sector, has officially put its new SUV model on sale.

Chinese electric vehicle (EV) producer, BYD, has significantly broadened its international reach by introducing the much-awaited ATTO 3 EV to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This strategic move not only signifies BYD's debut in the Middle East passenger car sector but also coincides with the UAE’s ambitious vision encapsulated in its “2050 Zero Emissions Strategic Goal.”

The ATTO 3, initially launched in China under the name Yuan PLUS last year, is BYD's inaugural A-class stylish SUV, constructed on their state-of-the-art e-platform 3.0. The vehicle's standout attributes encompass an impressively low drag coefficient of 0.29, swift acceleration from 0 to 100 kilometers within a mere 7.3 seconds, and an impressive maximum battery range of 420 kilometers (WLTP).

Huang Zhixue, the director of BYD’s Middle East and Africa Auto Sales Division, recognized the region's distinctive climate and underlined the significance of tailoring products to suit local needs. With the intention to guarantee peak performance amidst the UAE's extreme heat, BYD executed a sequence of high-temperature tests on the Yuan PLUS. This dedication emphasizes BYD’s commitment to delivering a superior driving experience to its customers.
