Known for its electric car models, Nio is about to launch its first smartphone.
Nio, a renowned EV manufacturer based in China, is venturing into the smartphone market. A recent approval from China's MIIT authority highlighted a device with the model number N2301. This same device has now surfaced on the AnTuTu benchmarking platform, shedding light on its potential specifications.
According to the AnTuTu listing, the Nio N2301 sports a 120Hz display and houses an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip clocking in at 3.36GHz. Its internal configuration is further enriched with 12 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and a substantial 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage, all running on Android 13. While these details provide insight into its hardware prowess, the design remains a mystery.

In terms of performance scores on AnTuTu, the device showcased impressive results in the CPU, GPU, memory, and UX tests, garnering scores of 355,091, 434,891, 304,072, and 266,920, respectively. These scores culminate in a grand total of 1,360,974 points.
Additional information from its MIIT certification reveals that the device will offer 5G and UWB (ultra-wideband) connectivity, indicating its potential use as a digital key for Nio's electric vehicles. Conversations among Weibo users suggest that upon its release, the device may bear the name Nio V6. Current speculations project its debut in the market within the current quarter, possibly unveiling itself this month or in September.
